There isn't a compelling reason for xamarin to put effort in there - so probably not - however, with .Net becoming open source, there's a very realistic chance it could happen anyway.  Especially, because if it *doesn't* happen, it may kill off some pretty big things like ASP.Net.

I'll go ask on the development list to see what they say...
