[Mono-list] Connecting Remote SQL Server through C#

Hi Martin,

 

The errormessage is "Server does not exist or connection refused.". As you
can see in the thread.

 

Telnet also works.

It may help to actually provide the error message.

Also try telneting to the port to ensure you can connect to that port from
that machine.

I receive the same Error. Tried everything: Same connection(-string) works
from a Microsoft Workstation, host and IP can be resolved/pinged from Linux
box, Port is known but different from standard port 1433, SQL-Authentication
and Remoteconnections are enabled and used by MS SQL-Server.
