[Mono-list] Connecting Remote SQL Server through C#

Hi,

I receive the same Error. Tried everything: Same connection(-string) works
from a Microsoft Workstation, host and IP can be resolved/pinged from Linux
box, Port is known but different from standard port 1433, SQL-Authentication
and Remoteconnections are enabled and used by MS SQL-Server.

System: MSSQL Server 2008, Client: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit, Mono 2.10.8.1
Connectionstring: Server=<IP>\SQLEXPRESS,8888;Database=xxx;Current
Language=English;User Id=xxx;Password=xxx;
