[Mono-list] GNOME_PREFIX

Normally for a parallel environment the tutorials advice to set
$GNOME_PREFIX=/opt/gnome-xxxx

After some installations of Mono parallel environment never I installed any
library in /opt/gnome-xxxx

An if I remove it from the bash file to load the parallel environment

All runs ok.

Is necesary set GNOME_PREFIX?

Which are these gnome libraries to be found in GNOME_PREFIX?
