[Mono-list] Installing mono for Linux

What linux are you running? linux mint 14 x64 MATE
What mono did you install? mono-complete and libmono-winforms
How did you install it?  (yum, rpm, apt-get, build from source, etc) from
synaptics
What version did you install? not sure of which version is, need to double
check
Why do you think there's something wrong? because the application that needs
mono says mono is not installed, even after rebooting the computer
What is the app that needs mono? CSI, community software installation, for
NMT (networked media Tank). This application needs mono 2.4 or higher, but
will not work with 2.2. I have checked that the version on the synaptics is
not 2.2,but could not remind which version it is.
