[Mono-list] How can I profile a MonoMac application?

I have tried doing this:

MONO_ENV_OPTIONS="--trace --gc=sgen --profile=log:heapshot"
App.app/Contents/MacOS/AppSync

But it didn't work. Is there something that's overriding this variable
or is there another way of doing this?
