[Mono-list] System.IO.Ports / Events

I am wondering if anyone knows if the issue that System.IO.ports can not use
an event to read or monitor the serial port still exists? I am currently
working on using Mono on Linux and would really need to be able to be able
to read from the serial port when something comes to my device.

I am using Mono 2.10.8 release. Also my version of MonoDevelop is using C#
.Net 4.0
