[Mono-list] Is auto compile a std feature?

Hi all,

I'm glad to have joined the community in running mono on FreeBSD, 
Including running the MVC2 framework. Fantastic!

One thing I noticed when comparing between the Windows and mono stacks: 
in mono when the view is changed it is not recompiled automatically - at 
least not in the FreeBSD implementation.

Can I confirm with the community if this is intended?
