[Mono-list] Audio/Video cross platform

Hi,

I expect the answer here will be a no, but here goes.

Is there any way in .NET that I can detect if a machine has any form of 
microphone or webcam connected or is there a cross platform library that 
can be used to detect these sorts of things?
