Thanks for the leads.  Your incomplete module seems to be the solution I'm
looking for.  Please don't let your project die; I would love the ability to
create cross-platform in-proc C#.net filters/modules.  

I'd offer to help, but at this point I'd be surprised if I could
successfully create a 'hello world' app in C/C++ :)
