Hello Again!

    The cause of my problem was that I _also_ had a Gtk+ version installed (
installed when I installed GIMP? ), and the two versions of Gtk were
interfering with each other.
   
   Now that I have remove Gtk+ my program runs correctly.   GIMP still runs
too....
