[Mono-list] System.Media.SoundPlayer performing badly on Linux?

I have the same issue: Playing a sound by using the SoundPlayer class ends up 
with silent loudspeakers. Event Console.Beep() is not working on Linux.

My mono version is: mono-core-2.6.4-2.13.x86_64
