[Mono-list] Mono 2.8 is out

Hey guys!

    After an intense year of work Mono 2.8 is out, check out our full
release notes here:

    This includes lots of goodies: our new generational GC, the LLVM
JIT, ASP.NET 4.0, a new faster thread pool, ASP.NET 4.0, ASP.NET MVC2,
MEF, the DLR and much more.

    There have been a lot of changes in a year, and it is possible that
we have introduced regressions or bugs that will cause existing software
to regress.   So we encourage developers that need maximum stability to
stay on our long-term-supported Mono 2.6.xx series.
