[Mono-list] Project on the Mono Basics-page do not compile

Hi,

I have an issue with Mono. I have just done a fresh Mono install on OS X
10.6 - and to make sure it installed correctly I am trying to go through the
stuff on the Mono Basics-page (http://mono-project.com/Mono_Basics).

While the Console-Hello World-project works as expected, I can not compile
the Gtk-Hello-World. The compile complains about:


error CS8027: Couldn't run pkg-config: ApplicationName='pkg-config',
CommandLine='--libs gtk-sharp-2.0', CurrentDirectory=''

And as mentioned this is on a fresh install.
