[Mono-list] PathTooLongException workaround for mono?

While I personally have not hit the max character boundry, my application
should probably know how to avoid that considering its nothing but IO
operations. The only information I have found was a msdn page about Windows
API calls I could use on windows
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247(VS.85).aspx#maxpath. So, im
guessing I have to find some Linux and Mac API calls and just deal with
the different OSes?
