I am having trouble figuring out how to install mono on linux. I am running
Fedora release 7 2.6.22.5-76.fc7. The platform for which this app will run
on may be something different, like red hat or centos.
There doesnt seem to be a linux 'package' to download from the downloads
section. So I am following the directions and downloaded the source
(mod_mono-2.6.tar.bz2, mono-2.6.1.tar.bz2, xsp-2.6.tar.bz2. Apache is
already installed on the machine.
I extracted mod_mono-2.6 and ran the command "./configure" and I get this
error:
configure: error: **** apxs was not found, DSO compilation will not be
available.
I found a comment from someone somewhere to run this command instead:
./configure --with-apxs
but when I run that command, I get this errror:
configure: error: yes not found or not executable
and I'm stuck here for a few hours...can't really figure out what to do.
I'm surprised there isn't a linux package available from the downloads
section that would be easy to install but there is not....sooo I don't
really know what to do. Can someone help here?
Thanks,
Dennis
