[Mono-list] Connecting to LDAP

Hi,

I wanted to connect to ldap server via c#(MONO), so i searched and found
that i need the novell.directory.ldap.dll, in order to be able to connect. i
am following the guide line in 
http://www.novell.com/communities/node/8772/setting-novell-ldap-libraries-c
here  now i am stuck at the point that it says 
"add to the makefile...." i don't have any idea what that it is and couldn't
find out by searching,:confused: . i hope someone could tell me what that
means.
i am using ubuntu 8.10.
