Once upon a time, openSUSE provided "-32bit" packages for running
programs under a 32-bit runtime environment on 64-bit systems.
For example, openSUSE 11.1 had a mono-core-32bit package which provided
a `mono32` program for launching apps in a 32-bit process:
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/mono-core-32bit-2.0.1-1.14.x86_64.rpm
This seems to have been discontinued for openSUSE 11.2, but other
distros may provide similar pre-built packages for running programs
within a 32-bit address space on 64-bit platforms.
