[Mono-list] Are we in need for a Cross platform library similar to DirectX?

I'm not a professional game developer (I am a professional business apps
developer), but in my free time I programming games. SDL.net can be an
alternative for you, it uses openGL, and manages audio, input and other
functionality.
SDL.net is fun for me.
