[Mono-list] Mono 2.0 on Fedora

I'm still relatively new to linux so I may sound dumb, but...

I previously had mono 1 installed via the firefox addon. I want to be able
to view a site that requires 2.0, so I manually built and installed the mono
2 tar.

I think it installed, but honestly i don't know how to check (if someone
could let me know how i could check that its running correctly that would be
great), and the website still thinks i'm running 1.0. Is there a firefox
addon I'm also supposed to add, or is there something else additional i am
supposed to do. I tired uninstalling the 1.0 addon but that just results in
my broswer not recognizing a .xap at all.

I'm using Fedora Core 10 w/ Firefox 3.0.7.
