In my opinion, .NET isn't at all some "Microsoft thing". The most of
it just implements useful functionality that is generally used in many
other languages/frameworks. Also, some (many) parts look like a mere
imitation (and sometimes improvement) of Java class library. How can
someone threaten you for implementation or using such generally
available functionality? If we claim core mono runtime to be
patent-safe, then all the other parts must be inherently too. Or am I
mistaken?
