[Mono-list] low level system api and mono

Hi everybody, i think this is not possible but i really don't know mono so
i'll try... :)

I'm writing a library which has to work with low level system api such as
retrieve all running form in the system and so on.

typically, in windows this are a win32 api so my question is, is there a way
to use system api preseving cross platform ? 

as I mentioned I need to get all windows opened in the os and handle them
and them properties.

is it possible??
