Vlad,
Where in NJ and when? I'd like to come

You should consider also demonstrating mono on windows. I would opt for
SharpDevelop 2.2 on windows personally.

On a non eye candy level, I've always like that mono gave more warning than
the visual studio compiler. For those that doe not use stylecop, resharper,
etc thats a real plus.

PInvoke works in mono. Maybe you could demonstrate a cross platform PInvoke
call on windows and linux (
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35853/p-invoke-in-mono).

This pinvoke example is windows only but works in mono. (
https://nightelves.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/nightelves/UserGroups/dotNET)

You might want to consider demonstrating System.Data.SQLite on mono.
