[Mono-list] negative process ExitCode

Hello,

I'm seeing an ExitCode value of -1231245180 when I spawn a "/sbin/route"
process (linux 2.4, mono 1.1.17.2). 
Is this value random or is there any way of interpreting it ? (like taking
only the lower 8 bits). I'm unable to reproduce this. I guess some kind of
special condition on my machine made it happen.
