[Mono-list] Mono installed but having problems.

I been trying to get mono going on my server, xsp and mono seems to work but
when I upload my site I keep getting the following error;


Server Error in '/demo' Application
Parser Error

Description: Error parsing a resource required to service this request.
Review your source file and modify it to fix this error.

Error message:

expecting TAGNAME

File name: /usr/lib/xsp/test/nashville/left.aspx

    Line: 10
Source Error:




Is this an issue with mono or something was coded incorrectly on the site? 
The site works fine on a windows server, just does not work well with mono;
