[Mono-list] Updating on Mac OS X

Hi All,

I recently trashed to process of installing from source for the much  
easier process of installing from the package.  If I want to upgrade  
to a newer version, what - if any - precautions do I need to take to  
upgrade the current install?  I don't want the old version sitting  
around.  Is there a way to uninstall the older version first?  Also,  
I'm not depending on the old version in any way so it should be safe  
to completely remove it or overwrite it.
