[Mono-list] FileSystemWatcher does not pick up LastWrite notification

When I edit a file using a tool such as gedit and save the changes, my mono
program does not pick up NotifyFilters.LastWrite related event. However if
run "touch testfile.txt" from the console, it does pick it up. I am running
openSUSE 11.0 via VirtualBox on Vista host. I wonder if file updates are
picked up correctly when linux is run it natively. Anyone had success with
this on a different platform?
