[Mono-list] Is there any alternative than mono

... and it apparently reuses parts of the Mono class libraries.
Portable.NET does work nicely on BeOS though, while Mono works on  
Haiku only with some hacks [1].

Depending on the platform you're interested in, there are/were others  
as well - e.g., on Symbian OS [2, ?] or Palm OS [3].

Microsoft also had the so-called Shared Source CLI (codename Rotor)  
[4] on some BSD.
