[Mono-list] System.Drawing vs Gtk# - Performance

Hi,
I´m starting to port a desktop application from Windows to Linux and need
to make a design decision before I start.

It is a rich graphics application. It has a lot of custom drawn controls,
like analog gauges. As there are a lot of them I need to keep CPU
consumption low. I wanted to know if there is a performance penalty in
terms of CPU consumption of System.Drawing in Linux.

Would be better if I port all the custom GUI to GTk#?

How is the performance of Gtk# in Windows compared to the performance of
Windows.Forms and System.Drawing in Linux?

Which GUI tookit would you use if you wanted to keep the CPU at a minimum
and be portable between Windows and Linux?

Is there any benchmark of drawing routines in windows and linux with
System.Drawing and Gtk#?

Thanks,

Guido Amarilla
