[Mono-list] Instalation Problem

Hi,

We have been installing mono-1.2.4-6 .bin installer on to many distributions however recently we have run in to an intermittent problem where the installer fails to load or even run on some machines. See the snippet below.

user at ubuntu-mono:~/Desktop$ ./mono-1.2.4_6-installer.bin 
user at ubuntu-mono:~/Desktop$ 

We are running fully patched ubuntu 7.10 on a VMware server virtual machine version 1.0.3 and we also have the same issue on a IBM Thinkpad T61p also running ubuntu 7.10.

Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?
