OK, just to wrap it up.

Sounds like permissions changing in those directories would be a very bad
thing.  I'll fix it and hopefully we won't require write access to those
directories anymore.

I will repost the X11 issue to mono-winforms-list, with screenshots showing
the issue.  I'm still working on a test case, but reproducing the complexity
of our controls to expose that drawing issue is rough stuff.

Sebastien - We are using mainly system.drawing to do those graphs.  There
are a couple windows (I don't think are featured on the website) that dive
into the Tao libraries, but the rest is pure .NET.
