[Mono-list] Cross-compiling Mono 1.2.4 with OpenEmbedded (MIPS)

Hi,
 
I want to compile Mono 1.2.4 with OpenEmbedded for my MIPS platform.
Package "mono-native-1.2.4" compiles without errors, but "mono-1.2.4"
tells me while configuring the following error:
 
checking for preceeding underscore in symbols... configure: error:
cannot run test program while cross compiling

The build files are included in the org.openembedded.dev branch, and the
README tells me that it should run on MIPS. How can I solve such errors?
