[Mono-list] Security in a Mono Based Web Application?

Fellow Mono Enthusiasts,

What options does one have for adding security to a Mono based web 
application?  I've tried the NauckIT Membership Provider for PostgreSQL 
but have been unable to get it to work using either the installation 
instructions on the NauckIT web site or the instructions included in the 
"Porting ASP.NET Applications" article on the MonoProject.org web site. 
If there are other options I'm open to suggestions.  Should I consider 
writing my own custom Membership provider?  It looks like there's lots of 
articles on the 'net about the subject.
