Thanks for that info.  I had heard that VB support in Mono was in the 
early stages so I didn't dig too deeply when I saw the error.  I'm running 
Mono from the Gentoo Portage collection.  It looks like Gentoo has the 
Mono VB related files packaged separately.  I installed the Mono VB 
package and the Input Mask component I was trying to use is now working 
great.
