Thanks, I searched for the files and I found:
/opt/mono-1.1.17.1/etc/mono/config and
/opt/mono-1.1.17.1/lib/libgdiplus.so.
On my system everything related to Mono is in /opt,
/etc does not contain anything, neither does /usr/lib.

Then I added the following line to config:
<dllmap dll="gdiplus"
target="/opt/mono-1.1.17.1/lib/libgdiplus.so"/>
and tried to launch the application by this call:
mono --config /opt/mono-1.1.17.1/etc/mono/config
test1.exe.

But it still does not work. Must I copy the files to
/etc or /usr/lib?
Norbert
