Good timing for this question.

There is not a direct replacement for ASP.NET, but I think that there is
a window of opportunity for something that is not a direct replacement,
but can give you a lot of the "runtime" support for Ajax applications.

Look at the recently announced "Dream" framework and "Jitsu"
