I don't know why, or when, this was removed but I do know that "smart
clients" is a very bad name ;-), i.e. too many definitions over time.

Anyway they shouldn't be confused with "applets" (.net apps hosted
inside a web browser, like IE) or the newer (2.0) "click-once"
applications.

Probably not (develop) but if you don't want to give the "applets" full
control of your computer then it gets not a difficult but a long process
to audit all the class library, the mono runtime, the plugin...
