[Mono-list] Mono 1.1.12.1 on Solaris10 x86

I'm trying to make Mono 1.1.12.1 on Solaris 10 for x86.

make will error out with '#error "large files are not supported by
libelf"' message.

Is there some sort of make argument or define I can set to tell mono's
make to not compile with large file support?  Would doing so have any
affect on mono's operations?
