[Mono-list] Mono (tm) usage in advertising

I'm wondering what the current policy is on using the Mono(tm) in 
advertising.

Question: If said company/individual puts the legal notice : (Mono is a 
registered trademark of Novell Inc.) Is it okej to use the word Mono (tm)?
