[Mono-list] "non-standard metadata heap #-"

Hi,

I'm seeing the Error:

"""
Assembly '/home/mono/module.dll' has the non-standard metadata heap #-.
Recompile it correctly (without the /incremental switch or in Release mode)
"""

for some, but not all of my assemblies - recompiling in release mode 
fixes it, but I was wondering why some applications compiled in debug 
mode run OK, but others give the above message?
