Hi,

I am trying to build the latest, mono-1.1.9 and monodevelop-0.7, from
sources for my linux system. I have not been successfull so far. My problem
is as under:

A number of packages are given at : http://go-mono.com/sources/. I have
downloaded them. These packages are:

boo-0.5.5.1651.tar.gz gecko-sharp-0.6.tar.gz
gecko-sharp-2.0-0.11.tar.gz gtk-sharp-1.0.10.tar.gz
gtk-sharp-2.5.91.tar.gz gtksourceview-sharp-2.0-0.10.tar.gz
ikvm-0.20.tar.gz libgdiplus-1.1.9.tar.gz
mod_mono-1.1.9.tar.gz mono-1.1.9.tar.gz
mono-debugger-0.10.tar.gz mono-tools-1.1.9.tar.gz
monodevelop-0.7.tar.gz monodoc-1.1.9.tar.gz
xsp-1.1.9.tar.gz

Some of the same-named packages are of different versions such as
'gtk-sharp' & 'gecko-sharp' .

Which ones of these are relevent to installing mono-1.1.9 & monodevelop-0.7
??
Secondly, what is the sequence of their installation ??
Thirdly, what are the essential and optional dependencies of these ??
Fourthly, I installed most of these in '/opt/mono' prefix and while
installing 'gtksourceview-sharp-2.0-0.10' I got error that 'gnome2-sharp'
was not found wheras, gnome2 packages have been installed and their path is
very much in '$PATH' as well as in '$PKG_CONFIG_PATH' Why
'gtk-sharp-2.5.91' is not able to convert them into 'gnome2-sharp' ??

Can someone with more experience please put me wise on this installation
from sources ??

Thanks $ Regards

RSP
