Sorry, forgotten to mention that. That version is called the FCL distro.

Make sure you got the Mono.Security.dll asm on your system as well, even if you don't use it.

  There is a version of indy available that excludes the delphi specific libraries. Make sure to pick this one up. Also Includes libraries for POP3, SMTP and IMAP.

  You could try Indy. See www.indyproject.org. You need the Indy Sockets library. If everything works fine, it should be working on mono.
