I think you'd probably be better off grabbing the source from svn and
running make get-monolite-latest then making it yourself.

It should work happily and I'd be interested to hear how you get on.
It's always been a niggle that Mono is not packaged for anything other
the Redhat/FC (despite them being somewhat silly [IMHO] over Mono) and
SuSE.
