Thanks for the answer, writing in C# or VB is "almost" the same language, 
but ok, let's wait till we get the vb compiler :-)

ASP.NET is just the mechanism whereby web pages are written using the
.NET Framework. Therefore, you can write ASP.NET in whatever language
you want, as long as it is .NET compatible.

A further consideration is the fact that Mono's VB.NET compiler is not
complete yet.
