I have installed the 1.1.5 precompiled mono on a pristine Fedora core 3.
The version is also compiled --with-tls=3Dnormal. On this version,
however, my forking example works without any errors what so ever.

So making mono-applications which fork off as a daemon I will consider
as a save feature.
