[Mono-list] mono installer download fails via dial up - Help

It is a big file (the price to pay to make sure it runs out-of-the-box
everywhere, but not so fun if you are in dialup)
If the problem is that you get disconnected,have you tried

wget -c 

which should allow you to resume failed downloads.
I dont know also if somebody has made the installer available via
bittorrent, that would be another option.
