[Mono-list] Fedora 1 Install Problems

I'm trying to get Mono to work on a Fedora Core 1 web server and have had no luck. 
Obviously missing something.
I used the installer from the download page and it returned no errors, 
but mod_mono.so doesn't exist, and if I try to open the developer, I get 
a second of the spinning hourglass and then nothing happens.
Any ideas?
