Yes you're spot on - I checked this morning with a clear head (ahem) and 
indeed had libgdiplus 1.0.4... so after compiling 1.1.7 all is now working 
well - and very impressive it is, too! :)

It's certainly much less painful than running Wine.

Now if only the big app vendors would write for .NET ... surely Adobe 
themselves could benefit from the same Photoshop/Ilustrator/etc. codebase 
running on Windows and Mac.. and Linux as a free extra ;)
