Does this affect the way that mod_mono/mod-mono-server works?

Debian has 3 options with apache2 (MPM = multi processing module)

Apache2-mpm-worker 		(threaded implemetation, recommended)
Apache2-mpm-prefork		(non threaded, preforking)
Apache2-mpm-perchild		(per-child threaded module)

Which one of these is the one to go for?
