Well, I can tell that mod_mono is trying to get those variables from the
right place and either they are not there or something happens when they
are handed over to mod-mono-server.

Can you please file a bug report in bugzilla.ximian.com with all the
details and test files (the smaller the better) that are needed to
reproduce the problem? Once you do that, I'll check and fix it.
